I have to confess - MoshPit Publishing (MPP) is a baby that's growing in ways I hadn't imagined. Not quickly, which is good, because I can't afford to give it new clothes too often! But interestingly.
I started MPP as a brand name to differentiate from the work we were doing with Mosher's Business Support, and while there's something of an overlap because it's all done by the same people with the same computers in the same office, it helps to clarify the difference between our two markets.

My main aim behind MoshPit Publishing is to help people get their words out there for others to read. One way we do this is to provide the creative writing competition of narratorAUSTRALIA (a daily blog of creative writing from across Australia, published as an anthology after every six months), and by publishing ebooks, supplemented by print-on-demand books where desirable and viable.IndieMosh
If you're an Australian writer thinking of self publishing, have a look at what we do at IndieMosh at www.indiemosh.com.au. At IndieMosh, we provide the full suite of tools you will need to self publish your ebook or print on demand book via Amazon, Smashwords, the Apple iBookstore and more. While we do all the formatting, uploading and accounting for you, we also provide optional extras such as editing, proofreading and cover design. AND you don't need a US tax file number - you will earn your royalties under ours, meaning that you can publish your book and make it accessible to anyone anywhere in the world!OneThousandWordsPlus
And if you're looking for a way to help market your book, have a look at our One Thousand Words Plus site. Built to allow self published authors and writers the opportunity to list their own selected passages from their book - fully searchable passages which, if chosen well, will help people find your book. Add in direct purchase links, and your potential readers and buyers are more likely to be able to find and buy your book! And just to be clear: I do not hate print books. But I do love ebooks. And if MoshPit Publishing can help save a bunch of trees by getting people's word out electronically - farther and faster than any print book can - then I will have done my bit for society and the environment. Hence our slogan:
It is our belief that only those books
truly worthy of a dead tree
should be printed,
and that digital publishing
should be the first step
in today's publishing process.
And this is another reason I put my hand up to be a judge for Dan Poynter's 2012 Global eBook Awards.
